To the entire Guru community:

It's with a heavy heart that I must inform you that this site, Guild Wars Guru, will be shutting down on July 1st and will remain in Archive Mode. Over the past 11 years, we've become, and continued to remain, the #1 fansite for Guild Wars, and it's all because to you guys. Without such a strong and passionate community, Guru would have never made it this far and so we thank you for that.

And while we will be saying good-bye to our home here, we will continue to host forums for the GW community over at our sister site, Guild Wars 2 Guru. In fact, you are more than welcome to head on over now and begin posting. If you have any threads you'd like to transfer over, now would be the time.

So once again thank you, and especially those that contributed their time and knowledge to make Guru the amazing place it was. We'll see you over at Guild Wars 2 Guru!

Carinae Forge Runner Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Inside Guild: Fifteen Over Fifty [Rare]	High detail armor render on selection I know if you are in a town or outpost you see everyones armor in a low detail mode. I would like to suggest one change to this: The person I select is also rendered at max detail. This would help when you see someone walk by with a really cool armor set and you want to see what it really looks like. Since it's just one person, I wouldn't think it would affect performance much.

ghezbora Frost Gate Guardian Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Texas Guild: There Is No Cow Level [cow]	make it selectable! options: armor detail low on everyone high on selection only high on self only high on self and selection high on party high on party and selection high on everyone i love options since i would expect the server is just telling the client "this guy has 15k tormenters" and the client is doing all the rendering, this isn't a bandwidth or server load issue. let the client set the detail level. people with 9 GHz CPU's and 1GB video cards can view high on everyone while us mere mortals can have more reasonable settings
